Dive Journal: The waters of Lighthouse Atool are stunningly turquoise (even more so through my brown sunglasses) as we motor over to Half Moon Caye for our surface interval. We have time to explore a little bit on the island, so Johnny and I find a big stick and a coconut shell and decide to play some baseball, whacking the “ball” out into the water.

Our second dive of the day is at Half Moon Cay Wall, another stunning wall in gin-clear waters. There is lush sponge and coral growth everywhere here. We have fun swimming down various grooves and channels in the sloping wall, and at one point we come upon several big tarpon almost face-to-face. John had fun playing the “sandman.”

We end the dive at no-deco limits, probably owing to the nitro load from the Blue Hole.
