The three of us woke pretty early for golf this morning, and ended up backtracking north up A1A to Fort Pierce again, this time in the SUV.  We looked for a place called Brewes Cafe but found it closed, and instead found the Captain’s Galley.  Their very fine service made up for the ho-hum breakfast fare.

Off to Indian Hills Golf Course!   The course has many similarities with my hometown favorite Painted Mountain, i.e. forgiving layout and decent roll.  We paired up with member player Frank, who helped us navigate the fairways.

It was good to see Jack play well for the front 9 (we actually started on #10).  Like all of us, he has a Jekyll and Hyde game, but Mr. Hyde has been too dominant lately.

A place called Strawberries for lunch, light sandwiches and milkshakes.  Jack proclaimed them creamier (and better).

This afternoon I scratched and counted my no-see-um bites: 39.  Need better repellant.  I also spent some time repairing my tent fan, which had been making too much noise to use lately.  A little bit of bushing material (wadded up paper) in the right places and voilà: silence.

Got a real downpour mid-afternoon.

Surfside Grill and Pizzeria for dinner, a busy local place.

A good rest day, and of course, very excellent to see Linda.  She will be heading off on her own adventures tomorrow in the SUV, involving more spas and golf courses.
